ISRAEL'S FLAG

The flag of Israel was designed by a man called David Wolffsohn.

He chose two elements for the flag.
The first was the colours of blue and white, to represent the tallit (Jewish prayer shawl)
and the second was the Magen David (Star of David) which had been used as a Jewish symbol for a long time.

This is a very good film. And while I don't agree with many of the political opinions of the person who wrote this letter, I do agree with him about this. By the way, the man who wrote this letter was killed by terrorists soon after. His aunt, a couple of uncles and I believe one of his parents were killed by terrorists in the 1930's. His son, daughter-in-law and most of their children were killed by terrorists a few years ago.
